Lumber River State Park

When visiting Lumber River State Park, you’ll discover a national wild and scenic river. The river is all about eastern North Carolina paddling, fishing and exquisite scenery. Two banks anchor two ends of the riverine park, with picnic grounds and short hiking trails. Possibilities for kayaking and canoeing are endless and you'll find lots of different float trips on this blackwater river. Pier and riverbank fishing are available for black crappie, largemouth bass, catfish and panfish. Visitors of all ages will enjoy a stop at this State Park.
